We're planning on moving to a 2 bdrm by April. If we had to stay here, I think we could move the armior (sp?) into the hallway & put the crib there.

Re: For those who live in a one bedroom...

Well, I can answer from a mommy standpoint. We are in a one bedroom. The apartment is very large and so is the bedroom. While it's working out well right now (Ava is 7.5 months), it's becoming a problem because she's standing in the crib now, and can see us, so she wakes up and wants us. We also tend to wake her easily when we come into bed at night. We have to wait until June to move out of here when she'll be a year old. It's definitely do-able, but it's not always easy. HTH.

Re: For those who live in a one bedroom...

We were in a one bedroom until Benjamin was 20 months old.

It was a big apartment so the bedroom was very large. We just rearanged the furniture a little to fit his crib and made a changing station on top of our dresser, which is basically the same thing as if we bough him a separate changing table with drawers.

However, being in a one bedroom became a problem when he started waking up in the middle of the night and we couldn't teach him to go back to sleep on his own because he would see us.

So, back in September, we started sleeping on the livingroom couch and after a little sleep training he stared sleeping through the night.

We moved to a 2 bedroom in December of '06.
