Ours comes on slow and gets really hot and then takes a while to turn off...its annoying...I guess between 60-70...we have an old thermostat

What would you keep the heat on if you are on vacation? We will be away for 10 days in March and we were thinking about this. Our dog will be at my parents house so the house will be empty.

DH thinks I am always trying to freeze him out. He would keep the heat above 70 if I let him.
