Sore throat HELP!
I have one heck of a sore throat. It hurts when I swallow. I have garggled warm salt water... doesn't help. What can I take?? Cough drops?? Chloroseptic spray?

My doctor said cough drops are OK as long as they dont have zinc. Also, Robitussin is fine, but it has to be the basic one that only lists 1 active ingredient.

Try honey and lemon, it helped me a few weeks ago when I had a cold.

I used chloraseptic spray when I had a sore throat & it helped a lot.

mine really hurts bad today too!  I couldn't take it anymore and took 2 extra strenghth tylenols... I feel much better now.

Chloraseptic is rated as a Class C drug, so I would avoid that. www.safefetus.com is a good resource.
