Is the 12w ultrascreen
internal or external?
Do they tell you right then and there that everything looks good?
Do you get to see other parts of the baby? the heart? Mine is on Thurs and i dont remember doing this when i was pg with dd 7 years ago so i dont know what to expect.

Yup - it is external.
The doctor told me that my risk seemed low but that he could not give me a final determination until the second part - the AFP. But he assured me that there seemed to be nothing to worry about at that point. So I am assuming the same for most people.
We did get to see other parts. We saw the hands (baby was sucking his/her thumb), the spine (baby turned it's back to us for a while), the heart beating on the screen, the head.
We also got to hear the heart beat on a stereo they had while we looked at it on the screen.

Mine was internal and external. And they said i would have the results in a week.

Mine started external but they did a quick internal to check cervix length ....
