Re: truth or myth..
That was def a myth for me when I was pregnant with my daughter. I worked up until 2 days past my dd, and I hardly ever sat down. We went for long walks, and I worked out for years before getting pregnant. I had to be induced 4 days overdue, and even then, labor just wouldnt start, even after they broke my water. I ended up with a c/s....

Re: truth or myth..
They say labor is easier for people who are more physically fit, but as far as when you will labor, nah thats not true.

Re: truth or myth..
i think exercise is good and helps during pg and labor if you were fit to begin with, just nothing strenuous.
i dunno if it's true, but when i had contractions from 28 29 weeks, the doc said my job activity and stress made me higher risk for preterm labor...but i had to be induced so it could be wrong! 3 months of contractions (I assume bh) was not fun! but ds is healthy so it was worth the pain

Re: truth or myth..
I exercised before pg, but i had a high stress, and i was on my feet most of the day. . I wound up having preterm contractions and bed rest for 10 weeks.I also walked alot towards the end after bed rest
I had DD 3 days before my due date, and I had a horrible birth, good labor but horrible birth. I pushed for 2.5 hours. DD's head could not fit!
I think that's a myth, i don't think your physical fit will have anything to do with how you give birth..your body only knows. My Epi left my legs two logs and needed 2 people-1 to hold each one.

Re: truth or myth..
MYTH: my mother worked as a waitress prior to delivering my kid sister. she was induced 2 weeks late. i was born the day they would've induced as well. my mom was young and quite active with us both.
i worked semi- on my feet and did go a week early [the first time]...but never felt it was related since i spent as much time on my arse as possible to make up for being exhausted from work.
