Animals?
Do they know that you are pregnant? I am just about 6 weeks and my cat has been so affectionate and snugly lately. He won't leave me alone
Do you think that animals (specifically cats) pick up a certain scent or something?

Re: Animals?
I KNOW my dog is aware that "somethings" up. She has been up my @SS since I got pg.
At night- when dh isn't home, she sleeps at the top of the stairs, right outside my bedroom door (but sleeps in the room with us when he is home). When she hears someone (usually DH) pull into the driveway she growls and barks.
A few weeks ago, DH worked really late and got home at like 2am. She was standing at the top of the landing growling like crazy- and would NOT let me go down the stairs to let him in.
She follows me from room to room and gets very protective when she hears things outside.
In fact, she's sitting right next to me as I type: Image Attachment(s):

Re: Animals?
He sniffs me an awful lot more than he used to.
Everytime I come in he sniffs me up and down like I'm a stranger.
And he does like to snuggle up and put his head on my belly, which is something he never did before.
I think they definitely know something is going on.

Re: Animals?
My two male puppies know something is up. One likes to cuddle a LOT more than before. At the beginning they were smelling me like something was wrong.
They like to smell my BB...

My cat is exactly the same way. She wants to be with me 24-7 now. She is so much more affectionate than she usually is!

Re: Animals?
I was extremely tired in the beginning of pregnancy and didnt spend as much time with my Speedy (cat)... she began to act up, started peeing outside her box... so I had to make sure that she didnt feel left out... right now she follows me around the apartment all the time...

Re: Animals?
I think they know something.
Every time I sit on the couch, my cat is in my lap... every time!
My best friend was convinced the cat could feel the baby move before she could!

Re: Animals?
My dog knows it. She rests her head on my belly, and she has only done that when I was pregnant....

Re: Animals?
My dog has been extra snuggly too. But when he gets playful, I notice how much he jumps on my tummy. I have to be careful now.
