Back Pain
I am approx 10 weeks pregnant. i have been having some slight back lower back pain the last few days. Today, it really hurts to bend over!! Is this normal? I should add that I have been trying to sleep on my side and I am NOT used to it--could this cause it? I am thinking of getting a new pillow for "side sleepers"

That is around the time my back pain started...it was my sciatic nerve. I have had to see a chiropractor through the entire pregnancy because of it. It is totally normal in PG and some women feel it sooner than others. Try to stretch a lot and put ice on it when it hurts to relieve the inflammation. HTH!

I have low back pain too. How are you sleeping?
If I don't sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs... My back is killing me the next day.
I suggest dumping the heels too if you are wearing them still.

I had back surgery 3 years ago. I have been seeing a chiropractor since before I got pg - and all throughout. I haven't a\had any back issues at all and I think it is because of the chirporactic -- I recommend it highly.

Thanks girls! At least I am not alone! I am going to try the pillow between my legs tonight to see if it helps. I have been trying--key word trying to stay on my right side to get ready for when I have no other choice but it is very difficult since I am normally a stomach sleeper.

I have had back pain for some time now also (I am 19 weeks) it gets so bad at night that I can barely make it up the stairs. I may look into going to a chiropractor (didn't even think of that before reading this thread)
I did get the snoogle and found that it's helped somewhat.
