Aww, I'm so sorry. I know it sux now, but the bright side is that it will probably go away after you have the baby.

I had this happen to me too. I had a very restricted diet and 4 shots a day, plus 3 finger prick tests per day. I did find a better nutrionist at Stony Brook who helped me with a better diet plan.
It totally sucks. 110%. I was so annoyed when people would say "but it is for the baby". Of course it is, but it still sucks.

I had to do this too. 6 x a day finger prick, 2 shots of insulin a day and on a not so strict diet. I say not so strict b/c I had a little here and there of some sweets, nothing to make my sugar go bonkers though, I always stayed in the limits, under 90 in the am and 120 or less after meals. some of my dinner meals were high but not a concern if 1 meal number is high but not every day. It sucked yes and I was the biggest baby when it came to giving myself the shots. DH for the last month had to give them to me in my arm, the fatty part, NOT the deltoid area- wholy hurt!!!! the fatty part didnt even feel it. my thighs got soar so I moved to my arms and sometimes butt cheeks. My baby was small 7 lbs 6 ounces so dont automatically assume your baby will be big and c section, I had her vaginally. you will be fine, you will learn to work with the food and see what spikes your sugar. It doesnt mean you cant have a piece of cake or a piece of candy here and there, it means you have to watch your carb intake, watch your numbers and eat accordingly. trust me if I can do it you can do it, I am the biggest sweet tooth person and for 2 and a half months I went through it. best of luck to you and if you have any questions please feel free to FM me

Sorry I had GD too but I was not on insulin, just a strict diet and 4 finger pricks a day
