Diaper bag help!
Okay so I found the diaper bag that I want. It is 295.00! Do you think that is too much?? Here is a pic of it Image Attachment(s):

Personally, I don't think I would ever spend almost $300 on something that's going to get dragged around everywhere and potentially get spit up and poo on it.
Not to mention the fact that DH would NEVER want to carry the diaper bag then!! 
But if you have the money and you love it, then get it!!
If moms to be can't splurge on themselves a little than I don't know who can!!!

Hey now! I bought a really cute brown suede type one at Target with chain type handles. I like it a lot better than a lot of the expensive ones I've seen. It looks like an oversized handbag.

Thats the thing, I really don't have the money, but Valentines Day and our Anniversary are both coming up.....maybe DH will go for it if I pitch it that way!

Haha I actually got a few that I really love from Target. I like the ones on walmart.com too!

I spent $395.00 for a coach diaper bag when my DS was born. He is now 20 months and I switch from that to a few other inexpensive bags, but the coach bag is by far the roomiest and in the best shape, even after all this time. Believe me you will feel good carrying a bag you really love.

since i have no idea about your financial situation, i can't really advise, but one thing to think about...if you are formula feeding, sometimes bottles leak inside the bag. might feel terrible if something leaks in it.

i say since you love it so much get it! go ahead and treat yourself! this diaper doesn't look like the typical diaper bag. you could use this bag long after your baby's done with diapers. i'm a fan of that for sure!

I say no. It is something you will carry around for 2 years, so it should be exactly what you want.
I am getting the Dooney & Bourke diaper bag. I also looked at Coach & Juicy bags.

I have the $$ but wouldn't spend it on a diaper bag, for the same reasons others stated (spit-up, etc).
I have a Coach diaper bag - I thought it was just a tote for business -- and I will NEVER use it as a diaper bag - it weighs so much already.
My criteria will be something that can get knocked around, and that it be light-weight. DOn't forget you will be hauling a baby and a ton of stuff....

Personally, I have expensive bags for myself, but I couldn't bring myself to get one for a diaper bag.
I drag that thinig around, it goes on floors, carry's poo diapers, puke, bottles.
I would heartbroken if my bag got dirty, hey i get heartbroken if my pocket books get dirty.

I agree with this. I spent $50 on one and really felt I was splurging. It's nothing more than a tote bag with extra compartments on the inside. And it will get dropped, dragged, thrown up on, poopy diapers will sit in it if you are unable to locate a trash can right away...

As a BTDT who currently has 7 diaper bags and still looking for one that I love how it looks and is really functional for me, I'd say find a cheaper similar one and try it out before commiting to a $300 diaper bag that might sit at the bottom of your closet.
I bet if you did a poll on parenting you'd be surprised how many people have lots of diaper bags.
