modular kitchen cabinets/RTA cabinets
I was watching HGTV and they had a commercial that said an inexpensive way to redo a kitchen is to sue modular kitchen cabinets. Has anyone ever seen these or used them? Or how about ready-to-assemble kitchen cabinets?

Re: modular kitchen cabinets/RTA cabinets
I am not sure about the cabinets you mentioned but we are also redoing our kitchen and you just want to make sure with kitchen cabinets, that the frame is NOT made of particle board!!!It warps Some say that is is okay to have the shelves be partical board but they will warp over time as well. But it is very important that the cabinet frame is made of wood not particle board---so I would make sure to look into that with any cabinets you choose
Good Luck

Re: modular kitchen cabinets/RTA cabinets
thanks- I was actually looking at cabinets that are real wood- but they come unassembled - so you put them together and hang them yourself.. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them.
Modular Cabinets don't attach to the wall, apparently you can move them where ever you want....

I was just looking that up online and I'm very interested in those as well. I guess no one on here has used them before? I was looking for an inexpensive way to redo the kitchen to modernize it since we want to sell it.

Yeah I guess not.... it seemed we could do the cabinets this way for $1000-2000 which is saving A LOT!

Furn-A-Kit has a line of RTA cabinets. You can't tell the difference between them and any others. They are very well made.
