Sciatic pain

I've been having pain in my hip/leg. The doctor said it's likely sciatic nerve pain. She recommended yoga and massage.

Those with sciatic pain, what have you done to find relief?

I just posted it somewhere else who is also having the same issue, much like myself. This came from my old kickboxing instructor that I ran into the other day.

Sit on a chair so that your tights are parallel to the floor. Put one leg on the other so that the ankle of one foot is resting on your other knee and you can see the inside of your knee and thigh. (are you confused yet? ) Lean a little forward, as far as you can--not far obviously cause we got that belly--and stretch. You will feel those a$$ muscles stretching and the pain and discomfort getting better!

I was going to post this same question! I think I will try massage and see if it helps. I've tried yoga before and it's not for me.

One of the ladies I work with had this earlier this week and was home two days - she said she used heat and layed in different positions and it went completely away.

I had it last week for one day but it just went away on its own

I am going to the acupuncturist tomorrow. I will let you know if it helps
