Sick.....
I haven't been feeling well, and yesterday thought I was going to die, my throat hurt so badly...
So I went to the doctor this morning and he gave me a prescription for Amoxicillin. I checked with my gyno, who said it's fine to take.
Now I'm worried though, because he did a throat culture to see if I have strep throat.....I hope not!

It might be just me, but I would never ever take an antibiotic unless i knew i had a bacterial infection.
I would wait for the results of the culture. You could be taking antibiotics for nothing which isn't good.
I am immune to lots of antibiotics now since my tonsils were so bad over the years.
My body laughs at amoxacillin now.
Feel better though-
Try to gargle with some salt water, or eat some honey, it helps with the pain.

if your Dr. said it is fine then I would def take it...it is important to get your body feeling better asap! i was sick a few weeks ago and took tylenol cold and a few other things and i'm not worried. feel better soon

Well, if I have some sort of an infection that needs to be fought, I'd rather start the medication sooner rather than later, so that it doesn't get any worse.
And I'd hate to infect others by waiting any longer.
My husband and I both went the the doctor and he gave us different prescriptions, mine is 1/2 the strength of my husband's....according to the doctor, I'm just going to have to "suffer" a bit more through this

The woman who sits behind me at work actually went to see her PCP and her OB yesterday. They both approved her to be on zytrhomax and she also had the pharmacist confirm it. It was completely safe for her and the baby
