OKAY-Why is it always something?
We were suppose to close tomorrow and we get a call that the house behind us has a fence that is on our property about 3 1/2ft and that if we ignore it, its theirs. Im sitting on 70 x 110 so it wouldnt be a major loss j/k
Anyways, closing is now delayed and our mrtgage rate supposedly can change now and not be locked in anymore because it expires next wk!

Re: OKAY-Why is it always something?
this happened to us when the people next door were closing. Apparently it wasn't a big deal in our case and we just had to sign something along with the neighbors.
I hope it all works out for you.
Good Luck!!!!

Re: OKAY-Why is it always something?
This recently happened to someone I know also. It turned into a major problem b/c the neighbors (whose fence was in the wrong) wouldn't cooperate. They wouldn't sign paperwork acknowledging it was in the wrong place, wouldn't move it, etc. The seller had to remove the fence off his property, and the neighbor called the police (who didn't do anything because the seller was doing the correct thing by removing the fence off the property).
I would get this taken care of ASAP. Make sure you stay on top of your lawyer about it also.
So sorry you are going through this!

Ty everyone!
Im hoping we dont start pi$$ing off our neighbors already but it is on our property. There also is a park behind us so the neighbor only has to move a small part of his fence.
We'll see and I do hope this works out and soon!
