I noticed many of you know when your shower is....u didnt want to be surprised? or did u find out?

My shower with DS was not a surprise.... It was in NY and I had to fly there. I never would have wanted a surprise shower.

I didnt want a surprise shower.... at my bridal shower I ended up in jeans! And since I feel disgusting, the last thing I need to do is be underdressed/undermade up... lolol...sounds so vain, but that's honestly majority of the reason... the other being that my sister didnt think it was too safe to be scaring a preggo! LOLOL
ETA: the only part of the planning process that I will be involved in is choosing location and date...

I dont know when it is yet but I do know that I am having one. I told my mother I am not into scaring the pregnant girl into labor so she has to tell me 
She did tell me she might just tell me that day so I can prepare myself.

I did not really care either way. My sister is coming in from out of town and staying with me so I found out when it is. I actually like knowing, not sure I am crazy about surprises

i'm the kind of person who 'needs' to know what's going on if it involves me. you could def say i'm sorta a control freak.. but in a non-invasive way  my gal pals are throwing something for hub and i. i know whose going to be invited because i submitted teh list and the date of the shower. that's about it. they're pretty hush-hush about everything else. and it's killing me! LOL

I've known that I was going to have a shower but DH just told me that he spoke with the family and everyone seems to agree that I should know the date. They worry that it might not be a good idea to surprise me now...I think that is so cute.

No surprise.
While I appreciated my surprise bridal shower the fact that it was a surprise drove me crazy. I always have a lot going on/responsibilities and it was impossible to keep my weekends free and clear in case set weekend was the weekend of the shower.
My BF also wanted it earlier than usual because twins come early.
