at 1:45...Update should I be conern

I have my first Dr appointment at 5w3d. What should I expect??? Please wish me lots of luck.

So I went to the Dr today and they did all the routine test and then she said lets try and do a songram. the dr saw the sac and ( she said the name but I fogot) but there was something in it. She said it wasnt a fetus yet but maybe its to early, so she recommended me to come back for another sonogram in a week or 2. So I resceuled another for 2 weeks. Does anyone know where I can see a pic of what a 5w sonagram should look like??? I tried but came out empty handed.Being that I unfortunantly had a m/c I am very nervous!

in regards to what to expect - every doctor is different... they will most likely take some blood and urine and do a pelvic exam and pap smear if you havent had one recently...

Good luck. They'll probably just do an exam and pap, and schedule you for your first u/s around 8 weeks!

They did not even want me before 8 wks for a sonogram.

I had a blood test at 4 wks to confirm the pregnancy.

It could have been too early to see anything.

i wasnt seen til almost9 weeks... and they did an internal sono to determine viability...

My dr. didnt even see me until I was about 71/2 weeks. Im sure you will be fine.

My dr wouldnt see me either before 8 weeks,... he said they wouldnt really be able to see anything... so I wouldnt worry!!

I just had my first sono appt on Friday and the doctor warned me that being that it was so early (i was 6 wks, 2 days), i shouldnt be surprised if we didnt see anything more than the sac. We fortunately saw a heartbeat, but she said she wasnt expecting to even see that...
SO definitely DONT worry!! I had a mc before too so i know how nervous you probably are, but I dont think this is a reason for concern!!

I had a sono at about 6 weeks and all they saw was the sac and the fetal pole but no heartbeat.

I went back a week later and there was the heartbeat, twinkling away!

Here is the link to my first two sonos - the first was at 5 weeks 5 days. They saw the yolk and fetal pole.

Thank you everyone for all the support!!! I will keep my fingers crossed and l will keep everyone posted my nest app. I should be 7w on the 01/16/07. Is that still too early??

I had my first sono at 7 weeks bc i was spotting and we were able to see the heartbeat. However the doctor was pretty surprised at that! Good luck!!
