High blood pressure

So I had a midwife appt and thought everything was going fine and she told me that my blood pressure is slightly elevated and has been for the whole pregnancy. She said I need to take it easy and not do too much.

I know I should be ecstatic that someone is finally telling me to take it easy-dr's orders- but I am actually more stressed about stuff getting done.

DH is taking an intensive MBA class that starts on January 2nd and runs Tu/Th/Sun for two weeks with a lot of work. Then FIL is coming to visit (thankfully not staying with us) and then we are right up against my due date.

I don't know if I am going to relax if DH is stressed. How am I going to get through this?

Have you considered meditation? I know that it is not 100%, but when my mom was PG with us she was at risk & took meditation classes. It not only helped with her during PG, but also during labor.

I had high blood pressure at the end of my pregnancy (got preclamcia) I had Julia 2 weeks early because of it.

I would drink lots of water and watch your SALT intake!!!! I didn't and thats why mine was so high in the end.

Has anyone had high blood pressure while pg and it went down?

I am just dreading the point where they tell me to go on bed rest. I totally not a person who can sit still for too long. I am always looking to do stuff. I feel lazy when I sit around for too long.

How high is high exactly? With Jeremy my BP started to get elevated toward the end. I took it just a little easier and had no problems.

I am suprised they didn't mention that it was high all along.

I got pre-eclampsia and had Connor early.

You shouldn't let your husbands upcoming workload stress you out. You need to relax.

Regardless I would pe ****** you should always be aware of what is going on with yourself.

I have had high bp through the entire pregnacy and have been on medication for it. It has kept me stabilized, but i go for ob appts every two weeks b/c they are worried that as the pregnancy continues its going to get higher

I had pre clamspia (sp) - I was put on bed rest and really did not listen to my doctor as far as restings and taking it easy. I had my daughter 7 weeks early. Please drink a lot of water, watch your salt intake and try and take it easy during this time.

i was just told mine was a bit high the other day and now i am on bedrest. my bp has been on the higher side but nothing to be concerned about up until this point so off my feet i am. and my bp is dropping thank goodness. i figure if i relax now then maybe i wont have to do bedrest for a long time
