What week am I in?
My first day of my last AF was 11/27. If I count the weeks from that week - I started my fifth week on monday. However, the book that I have and the online weeks calculator says four weeks but, it appears to me that they are skipping a week in there and i am not sure why. I am just wondering because I am interested in the phase of development - my book tells me the 5th-8 weeks are the most crucial and I am wondering if I am in that period. Thanks so much ladies...this is all so confusing!

At 4 weeks, 2 days- you ARE in your fifth week, which will be completed on Sunday.

I've been confused too. My last period started 11/23 and my pregnancy calendar says I will start week 6 on Friday. We're close to each other!!!!

Yes, I called my doctor and my appointment is not until 1/11. It's going to be a long 2 weeks. I have been feeling a little nauseous lately. How are you feeling? Congrats to you too!

Yes, I called my doctor and my appointment is not until 1/11. It's going to be a long 2 weeks. I have been feeling a little nauseous lately. How are you feeling? Congrats to you too!
I just called and my appt is 1/19. She said I could come the week before 1/12 but that might be too early - so I opted to wait but, of course I am now kicking myself.
I feel good so far - just some minor af-like cramps on and off and been tired.
I still can't believe it at all and it hasn't sunk in. Have only told DH and my mom so I can't wait until 1/19 when i can tell my family! Did you share the news yet?

Yes, we told our parents on Christmas eve. They were shocked because this is my second and they will be so close in age but they were also happy. I am "hiding" 4 now but I will probably come out after 1/11's appointment. Your appointment will be here before you know it.

You'll find out for sure at your first sono, I thought I was 7 weeks, but the doctor said I was only 5 weeks 2 days, then the following week I jumped up to 6 weeks 5 days.....
It was very frustrating!

On another note, the nurse from my dr.'s office just called me back to give me all the "dos" and "donts" and changed my appt to 1/26 because she said between 8-9 weeks is better for the sonogram. OMG HOW CAN I WAIT THIS LONG???? Is this ok or is it too long?

Yes, the norm is to wait to 8 weeks. My doctor wouldn't even see me until then. I had my first sono at 9 weeks, and I'm glad I waited.

It seems far away. I made my first appointment almost 2 weeks ago and I have 2 more weeks left. I'll be 8 weeks and 1 day when the doctor will see me.
