HEARTBURN!!
I had the worst heartburn EVER in my life last nite, at 4am that kept me up and miserable!
I NEVER ever had heartburn!!!
I hope tums is ok because that is what it took to relieve it.
And to make it worse,....my throat is dry so I believe Im coming down with something 
Im so tired and Im still dealing with the heartburn and a dry scratchy throat.
Ok, vent over!

I feel your pain. And what's even worse than just heartburn is heartburn and congestion.
I had bad heartburn one day AND I had a lot of phlegm. The only thing that helped the heartburn was milk but the only thing that helped the phlegm was orange juice. I was a mess that day!
My mom told me that the heartburn I have been suffering is revenge for the heartburn she suffered with me.

I hate the chalky-ness of Tums, but Rolaids makes a cherry-flavored softchew that not only works, but tastes halfway decent! Try it. I live on those.
Also, a very cold glass of water helps me too.
My OB told me yesterday that Maalox or Mylanta is okay too, as are Tagment and Pepcid (now that I'm 20 weeks), but the OB practice I go to is a little liberal when it comes to that stuff, so check with your own doctor!

i'm sorry that u have heartburn. Tums are okay to take they are like your best friend.
I don't know if this is true but they say when the baby has a full head of hair it cause heartburn.

Tums really have done nothing for me and my heartburn. Dr. Hanauer said it was ok for me to take Zantac 75 - I haven't yet because thankfully the past two nights have been ok but I have it very close to me at all times.

Tums are okay for heartburn, i lived on them when i was PG. But just a warning, dont overdo the tums and make sure you drink plenty of water while taking them. They are calcium and i wound up with kidney stones at 33 weeks pregnant and it was NOT FUN! So make sure you drink lots and lots of water while taking them.

I have acid reflux when i eat certain things and I hate hate hate it. The tums seem to work ok though. Hope u feel better.

Tums are the best - I usually find those types of things aversive - but I bought berry tums, and they taste like candy to me - soooo yummy - plus, they work immediately - I never had heartburn either until I became pregnant - its the worst!!!!
I'm telling you - get the berry tums - they worked immediately!!!

I can empathize with you. If I eat a cracker, I get heartburn. I take Tums or Rolaids Soft Chews which taste better to me. Hang in there!
