Re: Can I ask you all a question to the over 30 crowd?
Not PG and not trying but three friends are. One just turned 32 and it took them 11 months to conceive. They tried naturally for 9 months and then got ovulation predictor kits and got PG within 2 months.
Another is 38 (has a little girl that is 15 months old) and she got PG within 2 months of trying (using a predictor kit too).
Third friend is 35 and has been trying for 9 months. She is getting OPK's now so I expect her to be PG soon.

I was 31 when we started trying. I used an OPK and when it predicted my surge, we BD and got pregnant! (I turned 32 a week after we conceived)

Re: Can I ask you all a question to the over 30 crowd?
Thank you all so much for your responses! i am starting to feel a little bit better. The doctor made it seem like it would be more of the norm for it to take more than a year at this point - but i guess i misunderstood him! i feel a lot better now!

Re: Can I ask you all a question to the over 30 crowd?
When we began TTC I was 34, DH was 28 and it took us almost a year and we are both fine- no health or fertility issues. So yes it can very well take that long.

Re: Can I ask you all a question to the over 30 crowd?
Everyone is so different that you can't really compare yourself to others. I got pg the first time - at 38 - in 2 months of "not using anything". Then I miscarried. Then after trying 6 months we ran tests and discovered fertility issues. So your own body may react one way at one time and another a few months later.
If you are 32, I would suggest trying for 6 months and if nothing happens, get the basic bloodwork done - FSH and hormone levels. And get a semen analysis for DH. These tests are non-invasive and tell you a lot.

I was 32 when I got pregnant with my 1st - it took us 2 months.
I am 34 when I became pregnant with this baby and it took 1 try.
Same ages here except it was 1 month both times.

Re: Can I ask you all a question to the over 30 crowd?
I was 39 in April when I first conceived and I had an IUD in place! I miscarried in June, but conceived again in August without really trying.
