back labor
I am 40 weeks plus 5 days. All day I have been having bad back pain. As the day went on the pain got worse. SO finally I called the doctor..The midwife is on and I told her I am having severe back pain..She told me to drink water, take a bath and use a heating pad. I don't feel like she is taking me seriously. I took a bath & have been drinking water like she said. What would you do?

Re: back labor
I had back labor with my first. The pain is agonizing, and does not go away. I remember taking 5 baths to try and cope and nothing worked.

I know how you feel about that practice, they didnt take me seriously either and my amniotic fluid was dangerously low and DS was floating around in meconium for 12 days. Luckily my DS was born without any severe issues. Good luck!! hope you deliver soon and all goes well.

It is my own fault that I didn't switch out of the practice. My Dh & I are so annoyed and frustrated now!!! Can you believe at 41 weeks they didn't do a growth sono. They only did a sono to check the amniotic fluid. I was told I have to wait until Tuesday when I will be 41+ weeks... How late did they make you go that your son was in meconium? That is my biggest fear. Thank god your son is ok!!! I am so afraid now and don't know what to do!

Re: back labor
Can you just go to L&D? Worst case scenario they send you home.
