Kinda Disappointed
We set up a genetic counseling appt at a perinatal center due to my age (36) and more than anything I was excited for the ultrascreen to see our peanut again. We finished the 45 minute biology lesson on chromosomes and risks and I was so excited and the counselor says thank you, if you have any q's just call. Then she said they didn't have me down for an ultrascreen.  I was upset...I called my dr. & she said they were in the wrong and so I had to resked ultrascreen, but now we have to wait another week.
Well at least we'll see baby twice that week (ultrascreen & my regular 12-13 wk appt).
Just venting....
Frustrating too b/c I left work early and was just so excited.

No, just at 8 wks & 12 & then 20
The ultrascreen was at a perinatal place b/c I was over 35, testing for downs, etc.

awwwwww but at least you get to see your little one 2 times!! What counselor r u seeing? We see one as well and she was great!

I was just going to post about this.
We had our genetic counseling appt last night. What a waste of our time. The information was available online and I already had read about it.
In the end... she told us all the tests were up to us. They just tell us what tests are available.
When I asked her our risk level... she just went by our age and cultural background. So.. she really did not help us at all.
