And the nanny is....
R!
First off- thank you ALL for your imput. It really helped! I have a hard time making big decisions like this, especially when it comes to Jordana.
I just called R and hired her. I did it for several reasons:
1. I already hired her a few weeks ago. It is the right thing to do.
2. I know she will be great for Jordana's stilmulation.
3. My neice and Jordana will be able spend a lot more time together.
4. She is very reliable. She has been going to school at night for a while and working during the day. I know she needs this job and has rearranged her school schedule to accomodate my needs that just came up last Friday.
5. She is very professional. I think that is very important in the nanny/mommy relationship.
I feel very good about this decision. I know that either way I couldn't go wrong. They are both great nannies who will care for and love Jordana.
I am going to call L and use her for Sat. nights since DH and I haven't been able to go our regularly. R is not available because she watches my neice on Sat. nights.
Thank you all for your help! It really means a lot. I just have no friends who are working moms. And only a few friends who are moms at all. My non-mommy moms just wouldn't get it.
Sometimes I don't know what I would do without this board.

It's good that you also kept L in the loop, and use her on occassion. We're all human, and there will be times when R is sick, goes on vacation, has to spend lots of time cramming for finals, etc., so you may need to call on L for a week or so. If you just brushed her off, you might not be able to get her.
Glad you were able to make a decision, and are happy with it!
