whats does he do? does he sit quietly in the corner? is he talkative with he dr?

In the beginning DH was like a little mouse not even muttering a sound ( i think he was scared LOL) Now hes more comfortable and he askes questions/talks and so forth

DH jokes that he is completely ignored by docs and in some cases - like sonos - it was true! He doesn't come with me anymore (I'm already in my every 2-week checkups, no need for him to be there) but when he did come at the start, he talked to our doc and asked questions. Our doc is really chill! She'd sit with us however long we needed.

Sits in the corner and holds our one year old. He doesn't say much, even when I ask him questions. I think he gets embarassed.

sits in the corner, scared! 2 of my doctors always put him on the spot to make sure I was eating light and walking.

My husband use to come to all my appointments for my 1st pregnancy. He used to joke around with the doctors, step on the scale while they took my weight - just to make me freak out about weight gain - Now with this pregnancy, I go by myself

The first time he was going to sit in the waiting room, but the doctor went out and got him . Then he made a huge mistake and sat behind the doctor, so he was able to see the process of the internal sonogram .
Told me he was scarred for life after that.

Now he stands near me and jokes around with the doctor and nurses.

Last time, I had a female doctor and he did say he prefers that to the male doctor examining me....for his own personal reasons

He talks to everyone but, then again, his mom works at our Dr.'s office so everyone knows us.

From day one he gets involved in the conversations and asks questions. It really is cute.

Dh talks and asks more questions than I do. I laugh because the room is kind of small, so, the dr. usually says "Ok, stand here" "or here"..last week dh sat on the bench in the little changing area until the dr. came in..LOL he didnt want to get in the way.

first visit - sat in corner - nearly fell out of his chair when he saw the size of the scope for the internal sonogram.

next visits - pretty quiet, observant

last visit - commented to the doctor (who told me I was gaining weight too quickly) that I had eaten a lot at thanksgiving

smiled when he heard the heartbeat

I have to give DH credit...he sits and listens...let's me ask my questions...and then fires off a bunch of others once everyone is done. He always remembers the ones I forget. Last appt we assumed that my doc would do the Level II sonogram...but DH asked her and that's when she told us that we had to go to LIJ and wrote up a form. Thank God for him.

he went twice he sometimes just sits there. But the last one we went to he was asking the doctor questions it was so cute.

He was his normal sarcastic self to Dr. H. They had a great rapport.
My mom loved my doctor too so they were friendly and since my mom went to many appts they were all comfortable in the delivery room!

I loved my doctor for this reason. She is so approachable.

When he does come to appointments, he sits in the corner and listens very intensely to everything the Dr says, sometimes he asks questions that he has. He is more of an intense observer that a chatty participant.

He is big on sonograms though, he loves those! And Level II has always been his favourite appointment!

mine sits at the little chair they have.. asks questions and jokes around with my "Normal" Doc... He says he feels comfortable with her LOL

The times he has come he looks through all the cabinets and drawers in the room while we're waiting and then asks the dr the same questions over and over again in different ways, pretty amusing actually.
