Went to the doctor today...
And i lost 2 pounds. I am not throwing up or anything just having these crazy food aversions and everything gives me acid reflux. I hope i am not hurting my baby. I am only 11 weeks so the doc said it can happen in the 1st trimester.
I guess i need to pack on more calories.
On a happier note I heard the heartbeat though with the doctors doppler. I have one at home and always listen every night but it was nice to hear it at the doctors office beating away.

Dont worry!! I am 20 weeks, and I still get sick... I've only gained 5lbs thus far... my DR said as long as I am keeping food in and staying hydrated... all is A-OK!! And the baby is PERFECT!!!!

I am sure you will be okay when you feel much better and the weight will come.
My AR is horrendous too, and I find myself eating the same foods that i know won't bother me.
The thing that kills me is the taste in my mouth!

can u take zantac when it's real bad? I do..it really helps--and I heard dairy is bad but I chug milk. feel better.

it is ok, at my last doctor's visit last week I found out that I lost 4 lbs!!! I was shocked, but I do throw up most mornings... she said that it is totally normal in the first trimester... so dont worry

Yes, that is right. I had BAD morning sickness and lost weight in the beginning, and was worried, but as long as you stay HYDRATED!!!!

Please don't stress it. I went into my second trimester with a weight loss, but made up for it so quickly. I have now gained 60 pounds. I was so sick my first trimester, whatever I ate came up and everything else I could not even look at.

You're fine! It's perfectly normal to lose weight in the first tri. I lost weight too but my dr. assured me that the baby is getting what she needs. My weight broke even around 16 weeks and most of my weight gain was from 28-37 weeks so don't worry about packing on the pounds now. It will come!

I have actually read that this is quite common. There is no set amount of weight to gain in the first trimester...I haven't gained a pound.

When I was pregnant with Noah, between my 12 and 20 week appointments I lost 7 lbs!!! When I was 42 weeks pregnant, I had only gained 2.5 lbs! Don't lose heart, you will be fine!
eta Noah weighted 7lbs 14oz and he was a good sized boy!!! There is no need to pack on the calories, just eat what you want, when you want to!

I am almost 20 weeks and I lost 13 lbs in the first 13 weeks! I have only gained a total of four pounds total in my pregnancy.
My doctor isn't worried about, so I am not going to worry myself about it, and you shouldn't either.

Don't worry! I lost 13 lbs my 1st trimester... by my 24th wk (today) - I gained all that back, plus another 16!!!
i couldnt believe i would ever be able to look at food again, but even though I'm not engorging myself, I certainly have been able to eat... very well!!!

Actually the baby is fine..it is you that will not get the vitamins your body needs. Your body will give to the baby first, then you second.

As long as your doctor is ok with it, don't worry yourself.
With my second, I was 8.5 months & only gained 8lbs. After delivery I was weighed less than I did before I got pregnant with my first.

don't worry about your weight---the baby gets nourishemnt before you so the baby is fine!
I lost 9 lbs in the beginning and now, at 21 weeks I am still 4 lbs below what I started at.

I lost 12lbs between when I found out I was PG and my 10th week. My doctor was a little concerned, BUt nothing crazy as I wasn't underweight to begin with. She did say she wanted to see put on 5-10 lbs by the next time I come back which is Saturday. By the way I feel I think I put on closer to 20-25 lbs.

My sister actually lost weight with her last pregnancy. And my nephew was over 9lbs. As long as the doctor doesn't think it's a problem then I wouldn't worry about it.

Your post scared me at first! Don't worry about the weight you will more than make up for that in the coming months. That happened to me too and asked my doctor and that is what they told me.
