Sleeping Question
DD loves sleeping on her belly. She is only 3 weeks but has pretty good neck and head control. Question is - when did you start letting DC sleep on their belly at night?

Re: Sleeping Question
Talk to your pediatrician. Mine is fine with letting DD sleep on her side or belly.

Re: Sleeping Question
Thanks. I think she'd be fine but I'm also a paranoid first time mom. All of my experienced mom friends let their newborns sleep on their bellies...

Re: Sleeping Question
DD has been a belly sleeper since 6 weeks. If she has good neck control....go for it!

Re: Sleeping Question
Since about 6 weeks DD has been a belly sleeper. She just sleeps better this way. She was spitting up alot when sleeping on her back, and when she sleeps on her belly, nothing. My ped told me not to let her do this....but, I over-rode her on this one and mommy instinct says it's ok. DD is now 3 months and still sleeping on her belly.

Re: Sleeping Question
I think DD started sleeping on her tummy @ 3 weeks. She always had good head control.

Same here. If I put her to sleep on her belly I would be up all night worrying about her. She sleeps on her belly now that she gets there herself.

Re: Sleeping Question
Ive never put my kids to sleep for the night on their bellies. With all that the experts say about SIDS and sleeping on their backs being the best, I could never do it and not worry that I was putting them at risk.
