Alright I need help...potty training???
Christopher has started pulling his diaper off and pooing on the floor. I bought a little toilet for him after the first day he did this, but I'm having a hard time trying to get him to understand that the poo goes in the toilet and not on the floor. Any tips?

I know gross, but you can actually put the poop that he does elsewhere in the potty until he gets the connection.

Loads of fun, isn't it? I said to DH...this is officially my first parenting experience where I have absolutely NO clue what I'm doing...

My DD has also started pulling her diaper off then going. Try putting pull ups on over the diaper, its harder to pull off that way. Then try taking him to the bathroom with you. Let him sit on his potty, and tell him that this is where you go to pee or poop.

Truthfully I think its less about being ready to be introduced to the potty and more about them realizing that they can physically undo their diaper and the impact they have on you when they do it. Not that I would EVER discourage anyone from teaching their child about the potty!! When my oldest was potty trained I was happier than the day he took his first steps. My kids both did that at the same age. My daughter especially...taking the diaper off endlessly!!! ANd then us running around like madmen trying to avoid an accident from happening, she loved every minute of it, the little stinkpot.
