Losing interest in milk
Noah is 11 months this weekend and he is losing interest in his 2.30 pm bottle and his bedtime bottle. He used to have 7 oz no problem, but now at 2.30 we are lucky if he wants 4 oz and at bedtime the same. I am wondering if anyone else had this problem at around 11 months.
He is eating more and feeding himself, so this might be the reason, but he still isn't a fantastic eater. I'm not worried, but I do like to see people eat! Its the Jewish mother in me!

Re: Losing interest in milk
Is he on cow's milk now? If so, I lowered the amount in each feeding to 4-5 oz when we switched to milk and we concentrated on water mostly. From what I understand, once the switch to milk is made, it should only be 20 oz a day.

Re: Losing interest in milk
Sorry I should have said that he is still on Formula!! Not on cows milk yet...I should probably start with the Moo soon, but I was planning on starting after his birthday (which I plan to cry hysterically at)

Re: Losing interest in milk
My son did the same. So I started giving him 8 oz when he wakes up (he gulps it down) and 4-5 oz before dinner at 6pm. Plus we give him cereal often in the morning for breakfast with 5 oz of milk. The ped told me not to worry if he loses some interest in milk, it's normal as their rate of growth slows down and they will start eating more solid food.
ETA: Ooops, didn't realize he's on formula still. My son's on whole milk.

Re: Losing interest in milk
Sydney is also 11 months and no longer wants her bedtime bottle. She will drink maybe an oz. of it and throw it across the room. Last night I put some of the formula in a sippy cup to see if that made a difference and she was just playing with it and drank nothing of it. My ped did tell me that she would drop a bottle, I guess he was right.
