Had my ultrascreen....with pic
I can't believe how COOL it was. The baby was all over the place. We saw it yawn and even relaxing with it's hands behind its head!
One question- is it normal for the doctor to come in and have a "look see'? I know it was difficult for the tech because I have a bajillion (her word) fibroids.
When I asked about the nuchal folds, they both said it "loooks fine", but no actual numbers.
I wish I wasn't such a pessimist.. Image Attachment(s):

they didnt tell me anything either, I only found out because she wrote the results on the form and then gave it to me to take with me for blood test... btw, your baby looks exactly like mine

The doctor came in and "peeked" at mine too.
But they did give me the results right then and there.
Did you mail in the bloodwork, or did you get it done at the same time?

It's normal.
The technician took several measurements (for about 45 minutes) and then the designated Ultrascreen doc at my practice came in and did some more. She was there for about 20 minutes or so to look at both

I'm at 12 weeks 3 days. I had the bloodwork done there, but didn't get to see any results.
I'm excited, but cautiously..... I guess with all the crap I've been through with this pg (strep throat, stupid fibroids, on painkillers) I'm finding it difficult to get really optimistic.

That's probably the difference. I mailed my bloodwork in a couple weeks before so they were able to tell me right then because everything was done.
Don't stress, I'm sure everything will be fine. It sounds like you've paid more than your share of pregnancy dues so far!!

Your baby looks great. My baby was bouncing around a lot during my ultrascreen too. Don't worry about the nuchal founds. I'm sure everything is fine.

Great pic!!! Definitely normal. The tech can take the pics and even measurements but I believe the doctor is the one who has to actually take the final measurements and then talk to the patient about it. My tech had tacken measurements but I remember her saying that she had to see if the doctor could use them...he just took his own..perfect for us because it was more time to see the baby.
