Are you easily out of breath?
I find that I am always out of breath now. I was on the phone with my dad this morning - and he was like "why are you huffing and puffing?" - I didn't realize it was that bad.
We live in a colonial - so when I walk up and down the stairs a few times - I practically need to take a nap.
Am I just totally out of shape or is this normal?

Re: Are you easily out of breath?
Yep. It's really fun being a corporate trainer these days.
I'll be in the middle of teaching something and I'll start to huff and puff and not be able to finish my sentance without taking a breath.

Re: Are you easily out of breath?
Yes I am , when I walk up the stairs, I feel like I am sucking wind so badly. My doctor said this was totally normal and will only get worse as the pregnancy progresses

Re: Are you easily out of breath?
I often feel out of breath, especially when I climb the stairs in my town house. I'm glad you started this post because I was feeling a little silly about this myself! How I feel at the top of my stairs=

Re: Are you easily out of breath?
Yes- I teach on the fourth floor and there's no elevator. I've realized that I am close to the point where I will have to make arrangements with some of my students to carry up my bag- it's so heavy and it really adds to the problem!

Re: Are you easily out of breath?
that was me bad at the beginning, its getting better.
The Dr told me early on its the progesterone...When it rises it causes you to take more shallow thinner breaths and fele like you cant get enough of a deep breath.
Hope it gets better for you!

Wait until the 9th month when you get out of breath just speaking a long sentence.

Re: Are you easily out of breath?
Yes! And it has gotten much worse in the third trimester. I can't walk 2 feet without feeling like I just completed a marathon! I also have trouble breathing at night and occasionally have sleep apnea. I wish I had a solution for you, I'm still trying to figure that one out myself!

No way, you're normal I decided to walk on the treadmill today, at a slower pace than normal and I couldn't believe how fast I went out of breath. I was like "whoa!"... not good

I actually can't imagine how the girls who still work out feel - I think I'd probably collapse in the gym.

Re: Are you easily out of breath?
I have this problem at work. It's only started in the past month. [I was DAYS pregnant when I started this job.] At first, I was fine...but now going up and down the stairs can make me dizzy, out of breath and feel faint. It has nothing to do with being out of shape, I go on nice walks often just to make sure I am exercising and still get out of breath.

Re: Are you easily out of breath?
Im in my 8th month and the stairs are a killer! I try to walk as much as I can (usually during work). The other day we hit the outlets and I did pretty good. Just the darn stairs in my house always get me!

Re: Are you easily out of breath?
I feel like I am easily out of breath. It just started a few days ago...I thought maybe I was sick since I am coughing too, but I think I am just having trouble catching my breath. Maybe when the baby drops more, it will be easier to breathe? I don't know.
