interfaith holiday card?
I got Luca's pic taken with santa the other day, but I don't want to use that for our holiday cards because I'm jewish. We also have some really nice pics of him in front of the Christmas tree- again, I don't want to use that. Any suggestions on how to pose him for interfaith photo. I was thinking of putting him in front of the fireplace with a santa stuffed animal and a menora- is that retarded? Maybe I should just take pictures of him in front of a white backdrop with no accessories.

Re: interfaith holiday card?
we did her in a christmasy dress but put it on a snowflake theme card and the saying is generic.
What about just a GREAT shot by candlight with a saying that has to do with the warmth of the season lighting your holiday spirit?
Or if there is a way to get both a menorah and a tree or santa in the pic
or go generic with a snowman or Luca dressed in something wintery?
What about the classic naked baby with the bow on the butt? You could do red or blue for either holiday.
ETA: ooohh...how about wrapping a box in non religious gift wrap (like snowflakes) and putting Luca IN the box and the saying having something to do with how great a gift he is!

My DH is Jewish so we did something neutral, here's ours:

We did something similar for our card. We are an interfaith family.
I actually took a great shot a Emily and put it in a silver photo card holder with snow flakes on it and the inside says Happy Holidays.

i would possibly stick with lights, presents and snowflakes as props if needed - i wouldn't mix the two religions/traditions, but that's just me... I agree

Take a picture of him in front of the fireplace (having it going in the background would be extra nice) and maybe take some empty boxes and wrap them in holiday wrapping paper and bows and use them as props. That way it's festive w/o being religious.

Here's the photo we used in our holiday cards.
