Moms who have btdt...

do you save all of the baby stuff, clothes, swing, etc... once it is outgrown? If so, where the heck do you put it all? I feel like this one child has taken over the entire house from attic to crawl space. I am ready to throw it all out but I know if I ever decide to have another I will regret it.

For Josephs, we saved it for the next one but in the meantime my sister had her son - so everything went to him. All of her daughter's clothes went to Maddie. So the only clothes I needed to figure out storage for are Maddie's...until this summer my sister's SIL had a girl. So now the bins go straight to her house. If I were to have another one (no, no, no!), I would get the bins of clothes back.

Maternity clothes went the same way.

I've saved just about everything. I'm expecting the second now so it will all go to good use--unless it's a boy; I'm sure it would be inappropriate to dress him solely in pink!

All the big items- swing, pack and play and toys Jacob has outgrown are up in our attic.

All of his clothes are in bins labeled with size and time of the year under my bed.. Hopefuly I wll get to use them again, if not then whoever I give the clothes to will have a fantastic wardrobeChat Icon

Re: Moms who have btdt...

We plan on reusing everything we have now on our 2nd child (maybe third...) so we have plans to rent a small storage spot in one of those storage places.

I saved, knowing I was having another one eventually. Once I did get PG and found out it was a girl, I started to get rid of the boy things. I am in the process now of deciding if I need to store the swing and stuff or give it away. So hard this time, I have no idea about a 3rd just yet???

Clothes are in big bins and stored, but I'm going to start going through them and selling on ebay or donating.

Things like the swing, bouncy, exersaucer, etc. I'm going to sell to Once Upon a Child.

If we decide in the future to have a 3rd we'll get new since it won't be until these 2 are in school and I don't want to store it for that long.

Thanks, I just feel like everything is all over the place. I guess its better to save just in case I forget what its like to have a newborn and decide to do it all over again, lol.

Re: Moms who have btdt...

I kept all the big stuff like stroller, swing, infant carrier bc I knew we were going to have #2 within two years. The stuff we don't use right now is in our basement.

I gave a lot of clothes away, but kept the expensive ones and the stuff I really liked. I packed all the clothes in 2 large plastic bins and stacked them in the back of the linen closet.
