3 Hour Glucose Test

I failed my 1 hour, I knew that was going to happen

Now I have to take the 3 hour, which I hope I pass. How annoying.

Anyone NOT pass the 3 hr and if you didn't what happens?

I failed my 1 hr by ONE POINT. The 3 hour stunk. go first thing in the am since you can't eat after midnight. I was so hungry by the time I walked out of there.

If you fail the 3 hr, they consider you to have Gestational Diabetes and you have to go on a restrictive diet.

I'm afraid I'm gonna fail the 3 hr also, I've been tested for diabetes before being pregnant, negative, and have had low blood sugar issues in the past.

anytime. If you do fail....it's ok. Gestational diabetes is just that.....diabetes you get while PG and it goes away after birth. It's more of how your body processes the insulin/glucose.

Monday morning at 8am and I'm dragging my mom with me to entertain me, cause 3 hours is gonna D R A G. I thought the one hour, sitting there, was torture.

I failed the 3 hour - I failed the first 2 hours or something like that - I can't remember. That meant I had gestational diabetes (GD). I was put on a strict diet. 6 smalls meals at regular times and had to check my blood 4 times a day. MY sugar levels were veyr low once I did the diet so insullin was not necessary to control it.

Don't stress yet - I am the only person I know who had it and I know so many people who failed the 1 hour.

I failed the 3 hour test by 7 points. For 3 weeks I was on a strict diet that was not able to control my sugar. I had to spend a week in the hospital for insulin and now have to prick finger 6x a day AND take 2 shots of insulin a day too. It REALLY S U C K S. My sugar levels before getting pg were always 99 or less, never had a problem. I cant wait till the baby comes so my sugar can get back to normal and I can stop pricking and sticking myself. Im just thankful it came late in the pg. started shots last week of october Im due in 4 weeks.

thanks everyone...I'm really hoping I pass the 3 hour...I'm trying to eat better this week and maybe that will help, who knows
