Taking the baby out

When did you start taking the baby for walks to stores, etc.? I feel like I should take advantage of the mild weather we've been having, maybe even take her for a walk around the block. Is 2 weeks too soon?

Fresh air is good for the baby. I has been really nice out! I wouldn't take her to stores yet but I think a walk around would be nice.

Get yourself out of the house! There was a 10 day old baby at our babygroup today!!!

eta...this baby in particular was born on the toilet at home after 50 minutes of labor! How scary!!!

Re: Taking the baby out

I agree with the other ladies. I have been taking Nikolas out since he was about 1 week old - I always figured that him being born in October would mean I couldn't take him out much, but since we've been blessed with such mild temperatures I bundled him up and got him into the stroller asap. It's been great that he's been able to enjoy the outdoors and breathe in some fresh air!

Plus I find that the fresh air and being in the stroller ALWAYS knocks him out and guarantees that he'll get a good nap in Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Taking the baby out

2 weeks old we went to Target!!

That's about when too i started to take her food shopping, for walks, to the mall.

Don't bundle her too much! Dress her how you dress. I felt so bad today for all the cranky babies today in bundle me's at the mall in 60 degree weatherChat Icon

Re: Taking the baby out

I took Jenna out for walks about a week or 2 after she was born (in beginning of sept so it was still fairly warm).
