Need swing help
We want to get Connor a new swing. The one we're using now was Caiden's. Connor just doesn't fit in it. We had the same problem with Caiden. Since they were both big babies their arms are so squished together and it's hard to take them out. We have the basic shaped seat/swing. I keep seeing the newer models with their nice rounded seats that look so much more comfortable. We also tried one out at MIL's house with the rounder seat and he fit soooo much better. We only used the swing 2 times with Caiden because he hated it, but Connor seems to really like it so I'd like to get one that he actually will fit in. Can you girls recommend one to me? I've seen the one's that Graco came out with that will hold up to 30lbs now and it has the rounder seat, but I don't know anyone that has it. I also see other brands but they only hold up to 25lbs. The one at my MIL's house went side to side and front to back, the one we have at home only goes front to back. Connor likes either direction it seems. Which one is better? Thanks!

Re: Need swing help
We have the Fisher Price Nature's Touch Cradle Swing and it has been an absolute godsend. I love the side to side motion for sleeping and now that she's older we also like the two adjustable seat positions so she can sit upright and play with the attached toys.

Re: Need swing help
def get a cradle swing. The can be easly switched for side-to-side(cradle) or front-to-back swinging motion.
Here are a few, they are all basically the same. Image Attachment(s):

DD loves the aquarium cradle swing so much that she sleeps in it day & night. Which, of course, is another problem!

take her up on this offer. Our boys are only a week apart and I *think* Jack's a little bigger than Connor and he sleeps like an angel in this swing! We love it!!!

I agree. My DD likes the side to side motion the best. We have the Fisher Price butterfly one that goes side to side. The price is about the same as this Papasan that is available. I think the music on the Papasan is better than on the FP. But, if this Papasan is gone already, I would suggest one of the FP ones shown above.

Re: Need swing help
We received the Fisher Price Nature's Touch Papapsan Swing at my shower. Liam didn't like it at first - he would cry most of the time we put him in it. He also was a string bean when we brought him home after he was born so I think it was too big for him. We put blankets in around him but it never worked well for him - a few times he liked it for awhile but not more than 1/2 hour at the most. The last time I had put him in it while I was still on maternity leave, his neck muscles weren't developed yet and his head bent down over his chest and I had been out of the room for 2 seconds and it kinda freaked me out so I didn't put him in it again until a month or more later. Once he was in daycare (they have the aquarium swing) and plus he's bigger now, he likes his swing a lot more. Not as much as his bouncy seat, but he won't cry anymore.
But if you need space for your son I highly suggest the papasan swing - very roomy.

Papsan Swing. Nicholas slept in it at night until he was 4 months old.
The fischer price aquarium one is alittle smaller I feel.

Re: Need swing help
I really like the Fisher Price Nature's Touch Cradle Swing. It only goes up to 25lbs, right? I just wonder how long Connor will be able to use it since he's already 16lbs and only 10 weeks old. It's a little expensive, but I saw that Walmart has it for $114.28 right now. Not too bad I guess!
Nobody has the new one from Graco that holds up to 30lbs???
