Last year at this time, it was just a dream..
I just find it so amazing and surreal.
Last year at this time, I was convinced that I would never have a child. We were going through so much and I was on that medication and so sick all the time, it just didnt look like it was in the cards for us. I remember crying when I got to my moms for dinner because I could literally picture what it would be like with a baby in her home for thanksgiving. And we didnt have that yet nor did we think we would ever.
Fast forward to this year. I am sitting here listening to christmas carols as I make my goodies for tomorrow and my beautiful 3 month old daughter is sitting in her bouncy chair right next to me making sounds to get my attention. When I look at her, she gives me the biggest smile ever and babbles away. Everything just seems so right now.
I wonder what we did before she came into our lives. Even though shes still so little, she brings all the magic back in not only the holidays but every day life.
I am so blessed to be her mommy. I am so blessed that all of our dreams came true and this Thanksgiving I am able to hold and kiss her instead of just dream about her.
Its just me and her for the rest of the night since daddy works nights now and thats so fine with me. We are gonna bake all day and night, listen to christmas music, light some candles and just enjoy our first thanksgiving eve together. Its better than any night out at any bar could ever be. My life is complete.

That was really sweet. I cried reading your post, because for the past 2 and a half years I wanted the same thing, and am so blessed to be a proud mommy of 2 beautiful boys

aww Noreen you made me cry, i remeber us talking last thanksgiving and how sad we both were without babies and now here we are and both of our dreams have come true.

I know you know this but I too felt the exact same way this time last Thanksgiving, having miscarried in the fall of '05, after having struggled with conceiving for quite some time. so now sometimes when I look at my DS, I cannot believe how far we've come.. and that this year we are both Mommies - it's such a blessing, one I know we are both so thankful for, our dear children!
