Re: Tummy time
We started at about 3-4 weeks old, on her play mat for a couple mins at a time. Gianna has always HATED tummy time, so it never really was forced on her. But thank goodness she always has had awesome head/neck control.
I was told to shoot for 15 minutes a day.

Re: Tummy time
Started it about 3-4 weeks old, Put him on his tummy with arms in front of him while he was on his playmat. I have to say I should do it more often. He can hold his head up fairly well now though, and has been able to do so for about a month. But tummy time is also good to help them learn how to roll over. I believe 30 mins a day is good, but you can break it up over the course of the day. I think I did 10 mins a day max and I always forget to do it too. I have to start doing it more. I know they do it at daycare though. You can also put the baby on a boppy pillow (lay their chest over it), that works too and may even be more comfortable.
