Amoxicillin = diarrhea!
Has anybody else had a problem with it? Jackson has had the worst diarrhea since he's been on it. Yesterday at daycare, one of the girls had a not-so-pleasant experience with Jackson  .
He's home with me today, because I felt so bad about what happened.
Right now he's on Isomil DF, and I think it might be working. He seems to be doing better today. His poor little tush is so raw though!

I'm sorry to read he's under the weather! I hope he feels better soon. What happened at daycare, bad explosive diaper experience??

Explosive, yes, but no diaper at the time!  
I feel so bad for my poor little guy. First he's known as the kid in daycare that got pneumonia, and then this. Ugh.

Amoxycillin is very known to cause diarrhea...
Most daycares make you take your child home when they have diarrhea, but once they heard Bella was taken amoxycillin for her ear infection, they said all was fine.
Anyone who works at a daycare knows all about it

Yup, Ryan was on it for a week and the diarrhea got worse and worse. Last night the ped switched him to Omicef (amox. wasn't working for his ear infection) and warned me about rusty/red colored poops. I hope it's not as explosive/runny as it's been. I wonder if this also affects their appetite, when they're having such bad diarrhea.

Jackson's appetite hasn't really been the same since he's been on amoxicillin - he usually eats 7 oz, but lately he'll sometimes only take 4.

Ryan too. He used to eat 5-6 oz and now sometimes takes only 1 or 2oz. at a feeding. I didn't know if it was from being sick, teething or the medicine. It could very well be a combination. The Dr. said not to worry unless he stops eating completely and/or seems dehydrated.

Oh yeah. Everytime my kids are on an antibiotic they get it - especially Amoxicillan. Do yourself a favor, get some butt paste or triple paste because the diaper rash follows shortly after and they bums get really red and sore.

Oh no poor baby. When Stephanos was on Amoxcillin he had diarreah but only for one day. Hope he feels better soon
