Yay I am so excited!
My parents are coming tomorrow morning! Finally my husband and I can go to dinner, see a movie and have someone else to entertain Noah!
And we will be able to celebrate Thanksgiving...although with out my lovely sister who is staying on LI...I miss her!!!

Unfortunately those stupid Brits don't know what they are missing by not having Thanksgiving...but they do have Boxing Day which is pretty good! The one thing I think is missing here is the fact that Thanksgiving is like the official start of the holidays....
Noah is eating a coupon for babyfood.
I suppose I should stop him. in the other hand he is holding a coffee mug.
Ooops...bad mother!!!

It's an American holiday (Pilgrims giving thanks and all that  ) but I'm sure there are some restaurants overseas that do some sort of Thanksgiving menu, but probably not many.

Are you American or British by birth? Just curious - I'm relatively new to the boards and wasn't sure if you were an expat or if your DH was...

I am Long Island girl married to a Brit...I have been living in Manchester since 1999...a bloody long time. I am turning into a Brit!!! How scary!

LOL!
A friend of mine has been living in Surrey since 1992, if you talk to her now you'd think she grew up there. Her DH is from Ireland and he kept his brogue but she's got the UK accent down pat. It's very funny to hear her talk now, when she used to have a fairly thick "Long Island" accent up until then!
