Where should the baby be?

I am a little nervous because I keep reading that my uterus should be up by my belly button now and I keep feeling the baby kick and move around really low down. Is this normal for 20.5 weeks? Or should the baby be higher?

TIA!

I always felt kicks very low. It wasn't until I got about 30 weeks or more that I felt it in my "belly". I was the same way as you.

I think the baby should be where ever that peanut is comfortable. I think some people carry lower than others and I wouldnt worry about it. Enjoy it because kicks in the ribs are no picnic. DS was in my ribs for about 20 weeks and it was a constant pressure until I delivered and it was worse after I ate or sat for a long period of time.

Same here, i carried high with DD too, and it was MISERABLE! I didn't get any relief until i was about 37-38 week pg when she dropped a tiny bit. I couldn't even wear bras too long cause they hurt too much since she was up in my rib cage.

At twenty weeks, the uterus is at the belly button- but that means the TOP of the uterus can be felt at the belly button. So the baby can be anywhere between the belly button and pubis, thus feeling 'kicks' down low. I am also 20.5, and I've felt kicks higher and lower.

I have the same due date as you, and I'm feeling movement exactly in the same place you are, so I guess we are ok!

I've always felt movement low. As I got further along I feel them both up top and down low, depends. I wouldn't be worried.
