Mountain Vista Campground in PA

EricaAlt LIF Adult Member since 7/08 22665 total posts Name: Erica	Mountain Vista Campground in PA Anyone ever been? I am not usually a camper, but we do go every once in a while with friends. Mostly bc it's a fun group and the kids love it. Gets them "unplugged" a couple of days, which is more than enough time. A friend suggested a campground with cabins this year bc sleeping in tents is not comfy. Anyone been? REviews? THanks

We've also been to the KOA in Mystic and liked it there also. We stayed in the loop all the way in the back in a deluxe cabin and it was great. They have a few of those cabins in a row. Jellystone and KOA have a bunch of great properties. But I've never been to Mountain Vista. We are going to Bear Creek at Lake Compounce next month. We love their little Cub Huts. If you go to Mountain Vista, let me know how it is. My kids love "glamping" lol

WE figured we'd try something different and a bit easier. Especially since two years ago it poured and last year was so hot. Still made the most of it, but at least a cabin with AC is nice in case.

I bought a tent last year, but we haven't used it yet LOL. Our Bear Creek stay is glamping minus the bathrooms lol. Their cub huts are these tiny things, so cute! 2 beds A/C, small fridge, and a TV (which we don't use). Still have to walk to the bathhouse though, so it still feels a bit rustic We love cooking on the fire, so even with the cabin, we don't usually use the amenities. I just like to have a bathroom!

MichLiz213 Life is Good! Member since 7/07 7979 total posts Name:	Mountain Vista Campground in PA We love Promised Land State Park, specifically Pickerel Point. There's a few cabins, but they're very small. We're tent campers (we use an air mattress), so I don't have any point of reference with the cabins, but we absolutely love it there, it's clean, bathrooms and showers, tons to do.

They golf cart you to Lake Compounce across the parking lot (great park).
