3 night cruise?
Is it worth it speaking with a travel agent? Do they cost money on top of the money for the trip? Back to my original question- I tried googling but not having much luck. Is there such a thing as a three night cruise with a stop on an island out of New York?? Thx

Most of the cruises out of NY are longer - I think you can do a 4 night to Bermuda.
I typically book on my own but, travel agents may be able to get you onboard credits and such.

Additional costs would be gratuities which are usually like $13/ pp per day and possibly alcohol, specialty dining, and casino.

I don't think you will find many that go from NY to an island for only 3 nights. It takes almost 2 days to get down near Florida I think? Bermuda like another person said is probably your best option

Out of NY I don't believe there is such a thing.
There are plenty of them out of Florida ports, but NY is too far from any islands for that short of a cruise.
ETA - Travel agents do not cost you any extra money so if you want to speak with them go ahead. If anything they can get you an upgrade or onboard credit.

Re: 3 night cruise?
There are overnight cruises out of NYC (but I've heard that they are not worth it by big cruisers). They go out and are more like a hotel room.
Bermuda is short out of NYC & I loved Bermuda! We did do a week long cruise. I would think it would be an ideal first cruise.
Yes, there are port fees, taxes and tips. It can be a pretty significant amount. Cruises, IMO, are not cheap.

Your best bet is to sail from Florida if you're looking for a 3 day. I think one of the cruise lines may offer a 4 day out of NY unless you take a cruise to no where. For me personally I can't take a cruise less than a week.
