Re: Looking forward to in 2017?

I'm looking forward to January 1st, 2017. I'm so ready to kiss 2016 goodbye.

I was pretty much ready to do that January 2016, but it just got worse after that. I just need this year to end!

To answer OP, I'm looking forward to some trips planned next year (Japan and South Africa)- nothing much beyond that.

Looking forward to in 2017?

I am looking forward to my son's first birthday, and my daughter's third. Also hoping to get rid of my old co-op.

I'm hoping to fix some health problems, and continue renovations on the house.

Watching my newborn DD grow and seeing all her "firsts" (holidays, steps, words etc).
My DS starting Kindergarten in September.
Hopefully shedding the baby weight and getting back into my bathing suit this summer.

I agree too... I had quite a few close deaths in the family from Jan - April and it was like living a nightmare... it still doesn't feel real... I can't wait to say goodbye to 2016!

Our new niece / God child being born in February Chat Icon

Close family had some really crappy stuff happen with their business in most of 2016 and now it's looking up for them. I'm so happy that they are back on track to bigger and better things.

I'm also looking forward to being a healthier me. Last year on Jan 4th, I started to work out more and eat better. I've lost a total of 17 lbs and still have 5 more to get to my goal. I've gotten more serious with lifting weights as well and can't wait to transform my body in 2017 for my 40th birthday.

Re: Looking forward to in 2017?

I feel like every single year when the year ends people say- thank God 2015 is over it sucked. Then it's thank God 2016 is over it sucked. Next year will be better. Than at the end of that long awaited next year it's Oh I can't wait for this year to be over, it sucked.

Bottom line, every year is the same as far as suckage.
Same shit, different year.

I truly feel 2016 has been a year like no other. The only other time I felt even close to it was 2009. Besides those two years, i never remember wishing a year would go burn in hell!!!

I agree. I just had so many things go wrong. I'm not going to make a pity party, but 2016 was really bad. 2009 was my worst. It was so bad I don't even remember most of it as I was in such a fog.

I feel the same, but I will admit that I am a Scrooge when it comes to the New Year. I don't feel like it is any different from the start of a new month, week, day, etc.
