Drama on yelp
I got sucked down the rabbit hole of drama today after I ALMOST bought a Groupon for a blowout. I was checking out Salon Von De beauty bar in commack and the first yelp review had me curious, so I clicked. The owner responds (horribly) to so many of these reviews. I'm glad I skipped buying the Groupon, but I kinda want to meet her just to see if someone who runs a business devoted to pleasing people really acts like she posts!!! If you have some time and you like to read drama, check out the reviews of this salon!

I just read 2. Wow.
Not only is that owner's responses unprofessional and confrontational, they are extremely illiterate sounding.
She keeps using "enuff" instead of "enough".
Sounds really educated.
Yikes.
I'd stay far away. I would never want to do business with someone who is that nasty and confrontational

I don't understand how they are still in business. From what I have heard, the staff turnover rate is fierce.

That was hysterical reading.
Aside from the horrendous grammar and spelling, the comments from the salon owner are puzzling. Is she deliberately trying to kill her business ?
Wonder if this business can be reported to Groupon ?

I seriously spent about 2 hours reading through every comment (the Facebook page reviews are pretty awesome too). I can't believe this is real. It was my whole source of entertainment yesterday!

Some people are really off. I had a similar but different experience when i left a negative review for a pizza place located on the north fork.
Owner came on and left nasty rude and insulting comments on all my reviews at other restaurants. It really seemed to me that he had some real mental issues.
I was going to confront, or escalate, but honestly dropped it b/c in the grand scheme of things, its the internet, and there is no winning.

I read through a few of them. Something doesnt add up with this though. The reviews were left at least a year ago, some two and just now the "owner" is responding. Not just that she's responding with just vivid details of the interactions. I would never remember that stuff a year or two later.
Her grammar is atrocious though.
I am curious about this though. It's pretty close to me. It's in the Andreas 25 shopping center.

Haven't read the reviews yet but I've heard ENUFF stories through the grapevine to keep me away from that place. Looking forward to some entertaining reading though

My favorite is the one where she starts with "sandy, sandy, sandy", and ends with "i hope we both learned our lesson", claims you could eat off her floor, mentions getting revenge, and calls yelp prejudiced. She sounds incoherent and unhinged.

She probably just finished learning how to read and write this year so she couldn't respond before. Because her grammar and spelling are very similar to my 6 year old's. She learned to read and write in K last year.
But she edges this woman out slightly. Just slightly.

I read a response where she sais something about the customers temper tantrum went on too long and she "apologeticly apologized" like what the actual f does that even mean???
No one has a good experience at this salon yet it's not the owners fault.
