26 or 52? I can't seem to find a definitive answer online.

26. It has been extended in the past. after 9/11 certain industries received extended benefits.

The reason you might be confused is because you can only collect 26 weeks total but the claim lasts for a year so the 26 weeks can be spread out.
For example, let's say you are in week 10 and have been paid for 10 weeks when you find a temporary job. The job lasts 4 months. When it's over you can then restart your benefits without opening a new claim. You would continue to get paid for the remaining 26 weeks or up to a year from when you first filed, whichever comes first (in this example you would get paid the full rest of your 16 weeks.)
