I would be pissed off if I paid to go to a comedy show and rather than the comedian making fun of politicians and politics they actually tried to push their own opinion on me. This would apply no matter which candidate they were against by the way.
There are enough opinions from celebrities, newscasters and other people I don't give two shits about already. If I'm going to a comedy show, I just want to laugh not be told what to do.

I see what you mean, but that's Jim Jeffries and his style. That's what he does. Don't go to his shows if you don't like that style.

It's also a different comedy style in Australia. Take a look at their House of Parliament question times. You can see the same style in the British House of Commons.

I can see that if it was about my chosen candidate. But clearly his audience didn't mind bc they cheered and applauded pretty loudly.

I don't know. When you see a concert, you expect to hear the artist's songs, and when you see an acting awards show you (or at least I) want them to stick to theater.

But at a comedy show, you are paying to hear them speak their minds about anything, so it's fair game.

He is hilarious and dead on.

Exactly, with comedians, you usually know the "type" they are if you're paying to see them. Lewis Black, Jon Stewart, etc....you know what they're gonna talk about & they make you laugh.

I agree he is dead on & nothing he said was untrue

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon anyone who gets offended/pissed etc by anything a comedian says probably shouldn't go see a show. I feel most comedians jokes involve offending somebody somewhere.

you really didn't find this funny at all? Are you a trump supporter? Clearly I am not but if I was a trump supporter I am pretty sure I would have laughed at this as well. And he is stating his opinion on what should be done not telling you what to do. if you want to vote trump him stating that and you being in the audience that day should not make you feel you have to change your mind because he told you so

I think comedians are all about speaking their minds and giving their opinions and that is what I would expect going to a show. It's not like they are standing up there telling knock knock jokes for an hour, they are giving original material that is based on their views of life and that includes all topics from politics and religion and everything in between.

Glen Beck used to do stand-up shows and I would never go to one because I know it will be riddled with his right wing agenda. If you're seeing a comedian that is known to speak their mind, just be prepared that might come with whatever their agenda is. George Carlin was famous for this and I found his specials pure brilliance.
