Tip for Bridal Shower Maitre 'd
What is an appropriate tip for the Maitre 'd?
I held my daughters bridal shower today and didn't see him the whole event...I assumed he was not working that day. I had a tip envelope for him that I was going to give him but now wonder if I should give what I had planned. The shower was about 2,300.00
What's an appropriate tip for the person who booked the event and helped with menu selections? I met him twice for a total of about fifteen minutes.
I am going to give something...just wondering what is appropriate?

I wouldn't tip if he wasn't there. Give the money you slotted for him to the wait staff that worked the event.

Def tip the wait staff. We just had my sister's shower yesterday and although there was gratuity included in the price we still tipped more because they busted their ass.

I agree. He didn't provide any service for the event. The other staff did.

Thanks! I did tip the waitstaff generously.. They worked so hard all day for us and as soon as we left began setting up for a wedding!
