Has anyone used a credit agency type thing to get something removed from their credit report? Any recommendations or tips?

Where you pay to have them removed? I think those are scams
You could run a report through a reputable site and then look it over closely… And then usually right from there, you can dispute any blemishes. I've heard it's best to also follow up with a letter for each bad remark.

Re: Credit
I have had to have things that belonged to my mom. Our names (before i was married) were almost the same b/c shes Diane and Im Diana, but her maiden name is with a C. and she uses that as her middle initial, and my middle name is a C.
So early on when I was trying to establish credit, they had my mom's sears account opened in 1978 (before I was born) and some other things.
I had to call and write the credit agencies but had it fixed. One time a few years later they had to put a disclaimer on there not to confuse with similar names b/c they had our reports linked together.
Your best bet is to contact each agency that is reporting it. or the creditor directly to resolve the issue.
