I see a few people on my feed/in real life keep saying why vote. Nothing changes
So tell me. What will change by voting for Clinton/trump
And please don't post any she is a liar. He is a racist etc
I want to know what change will
Happen to make things better/safer

He will appoint an extremely conservative Supreme Court judge and all of the progress that has been made for a woman's right to choose, LGBTQ rights, etc, will vanish.
ETA: it's not just about what will happen during their term - it's what they will be leaving behind. SC justices are lifetime appointments.

This exactly! My biggest fear with Trump is what will happen to the Supreme Court. It is likely that the next president will have the opportunity to appoint at least 2 judges to the Court during his/her presidency. Aside from that, I think Trump will destroy our relations with many foreign countries - and the implications from that, both for our economy and safety are so far reaching it's beyond scary.

He has never been a conservative, but to squash rumors that he wouldn't appoint conservative judges he released this list of possible picks.

Yup. Honestly, I don't love HRC, and don't know how much will change under her. So for me, I am voting more against the changes that would almost certainly occur under Trump than those that would occur under her (though I think there is much more of a chance of things like parental leave, equal pay, etc etc etc under her).

If Trump is elected...
I can see him ruining foreign relations with allies because he has already said he wouldn't necessarily come to the defense of our NATO allies, plus he just has the personality that is not conducive to compromise and patience.
He would appoint conservative supreme court justices that would most likely overturn roe v wade and the gay marriage act.
He wants to completely dissolve the EPA. Which is terrifying because climate change does exist and is only getting worse.
He wants to deport ALL illegal immigrants without even having a pathway to citizenship. Breaking up families and displacing people who have been here for decades.
The minimum wage stays the same or gets LOWERED.
The stupid wall, the muslim ban, the IDs for muslims living here...
There are so many more, but I'll stop there.
If Clinton is elected...
She appoints liberal justices that keep roe v wade, gay marriage act.
She wants to work towards paid family leave, raise the minimum wage, provide a path for illegal immigrants to become citizens.
She supports common sense gun control, as well as denying people on the no-fly and terror watch lists from purchasing guns.
She wants to improve mental health care and do more to fight the growing opioid epidemic.
The contrast is so black and white to me. Just go to both of their websites and you can see the difference. Hers has point by point details of what she wants to do, his reads like it was written by a 9-year old bully.
Example (this is actually from his website):
"The Military
I will make our Military so big, powerful and strong that no one wants to mess with us."
I mean, really?

Trump's complete lack of knowledge on foreign policies. He has says very idiotic things. That is the most scary to me. Putin will eat him for breakfast. He is so self centered that he has no idea of the potential of some Countries. And how much this is way over his head. I feel America has a great chance of being exposed to major dangers with him. On domestic issues, he has been all talk about lots of issues. But the GOP and VP will hold him up to his words. I am worried about women rights. I think they wil try to go back 50 years back. I am worried about Corporations and employees benefits, minimum wage.
With Hillary I am worried about the TPP. I am very anti GMO. I do not feel she will support the Bernie Sanders movement in that category and it really really bothers me.

This is probably how I will make my decision as well. I'll take 4 years of the same over 4 years of "this may not be a good idea" and hope to hell for Better options next election
Tho - 4 more years of the same for my family (small business owners in LI Ny) may be really hard to stay afloat.
It sucks so bad that this is such a "fingers crossed" election

Your never going to find a politician who doesn't. Plenty of Republicans have used personal email, lied, etc etc. For me, I would take HRC's skeletons over DJT's antics any day.

Plain and simple. Trump is a businessman, and a good one at that. He's mastered the art of deal making.
Regardless of what he claims he will do, if it's not a good deal for him, he's not going to do it.
Being a good businessman and being a good leader aren't the same thing. The US isn't one big business; we're real people with real feelings, and we shouldn't be run like a corporation.
Clinton has a strong relationship with Congress. They may not always support her proposed programs, but I think she knows the right people to get certain laws and programs passed without the system imploding on itself.
Simply stated, Trump doesn't have a relationship with Congress, and he's pissed off too many people.
Remember, they're doing things on the federal level. If you hate something that is more local, hit up your congressman.

Is he a good businessman though? I've read he inherited somewhere around $400 million from his father, he is estimated to be worth in the vicinity of $250 million right now AND he's had multiple failed business dealings and 4-5 business bankruptcies. I wouldn't consider that good business sense.
But I agree, he has NO clue how to run a country.
