Way to say thank you?
I decided to quit my job. When I gave notice I was never asked why.
This week someone higher up who lead the training session the beginning of my employment reached out to me to find out why I was leaving. She said there was a way for them to accommodate me and so she reached out to hr. I was then called into an meeting with our director and was offered another position that's more accomodating.
I feel like I should send a small gift to the person who reached out to me to show gratitude that she went out of her way especially since my direct mgr didn't even bother to ask why I was leaving.
Not sure if it's appropriate and if so what should I send her?

Way to say thank you?
I would get a card and write a nice note letting her know your appreciation. I feel like a gift can be tricky in that situation.
