Being charged twice, is this company right?

I had my gutters cleaned 2 weeks ago, same company I have been using for years, same company that installed the gutters.

The day after they cleaned them, it rained and outside my bedroom window, the water was pouring out of my gutters. I called them, told them that I think they were still clogged, gave them the location of the problem. They say they are going to come back and check it out.

I come home the other day, they are there and flooding out all the gutters and tell me the problem is not the gutters but that we are missing a piece of flashing or something.

Fast forward and they send me a 2nd bill for a
"second cleaning" for the full amount.


Thoughts?

I don't think you should be charged for 2 cleanings - but if they replaced the flashing that might be the 2nd charge. I don't know what is cheaper though. They should have also informed you upfront.

I don’t think you should be charged for two full cleanings. I also have no clue what a flashing costs, but I would imagine it can’t be as much as a cleaning.

No clue about gutter cleaning, but if the cleaning process is flooding the gutters and checking the flow, they should have noticed the first time something else was wrong...

HELL no i dont pay until i see a clean, tight gutter on the next rain day.

that being said i overpay compared to some of these other posts ($110 for a ranch)

Nope. Maybe it was a mistake. Call and approach it that way.
